^  Applicant (Client) Search

The Applicant (Client) option searches for regulatory documents submitted (authored) by the selected company.

  • Select Applicant (Client) from the drop-down list
  • Select the company type
    • (eg. "Electricity Distirbutor") from the second drop-down list that appears
  • Select a company from the third drop-down list that appears

^  Case Number Search

The Case Number option searches for regulatory documents associated with a case.

  • Select Case Number from the drop-down list
  • Type the Case Number in the text box using the exact format EB-YYYY-NNNN (eg. EB-2006-0001)
  • Note: you can also use wildcards (ex. *0001)

^ Date Search (Date Issued, Date Modified, Date Received)

The Date options (Date Issued, Date Modified, Date Received) can be used to search for regulatory documents by date.

  • Select one of the date search options from the drop-down list
  • Enter the date in the following format: YYYY-MM-DD
  • Note: you can set a date range by adding a comma between two dates. For example searching by Date Issued 2006-05-05, 2006-05-31 returns all the document in the range including the dates specified

^ Document Content

The Document Content option searches through the contents of regulatory documents for keywords.

  • Select Document Content from the drop-down list
  • Enter a keyword to search for in the text box
  • Note: you can search for multiple keywords by separating them with "AND" or "OR". See below for a full list of search operators:

What the search operator does

Administration and Project

Administration and Project in the same document. Finds any document with both words in it.

Administration or Project

Administration or Project in same document. Finds any document with either of the words in it.

Administration not Project

Administration and not Project in same document. Finds all documents with Administration but excludes those that also have Project in them.

Administration x or Project

Administration or Project but not both. Finds all documents with either Administration or Project but not those that have both.

Administration except Project

Administration but only if Project is not in the same paragraph as Administration

Administration … Project

Project comes after Administration in the document. Finds first occurrence of Administration and last occurrence of Project and all occurrences in between.

Administration.. Project

Administration is followed by Project in pairs

Administration in the Project

'Administration' in paragraph beginning with 'the Project'

Label the current Project

Any paragraph beginning with 'the current Project'

Administration // Project

Project within the same paragraph as Administration

Administration \\ Project

Administration and Project within 1 paragraph of each other

Administration \2\ Project

Administration within 2 paragraphs of Project

Administration \-2,+1\ Project

Project occurs from 2 paragraphs before to 1 paragraph after Administration

Administration /-5,+10/ Project

Project occurs from 5 words before to 10 words after Administration

Administration +

Finds Administration plus any synonyms

 

^ Document Type

The Document Type option searches for regulatory documents of a specific type.

  • Select Document Type from the drop-down list
  • Select a document type from the second drop-down list that appears
  • Note: document types with * will find all document types that include that word (ex. selecting Cost* will return results for the following document types: Cost Claim, Cost Claim Objection, Cost Eligibility Request, etc.)

^ Energy Type

The Energy Type option searches for regulatory documents of a specific energy type.

  • Select Energy Type from the drop-down list
  • Select an energy type from the second drop-down list that appears
    • (Electricity, Natural Gas or Generic)

^ Primary Application Type

The Primary Application Type option searches for regulatory documents from a specific application category.

  • Select Primary Application Type from the drop-down list
  • Select an application category from the second drop-down list that appears (Facilities, Licences, MAADs or Rates)

^ Title

The Title option searches for regulatory documents with specific words in the document title (file name).

  • Select Title from the drop-down list
  • Enter a keyword to search for in the text box
  • Note: add additional keywords by separating them with a space (ex. 'HONI comments')

^ Viewing Electronic Documents

To view an electronic document or file:

Click on the record title to download the document

NOTE: Documents are in PDF format and therefore you will need to download the Adobe Acrobat reader to view these documents.

^ Sorting Columns

To sort a column click on the column header text.

Columns are sorted alphabetically (for Case Number, Title, and Document Type) and by date (for Last Date Modified, Date Issued and Date Received)
